A little bit about me:
I believe that most problems are best solved head-on, and this is my professional approach as well. A large part of building wealth is addressing the unknowns and being very intentional with the steps one takes on the ladder to financial success. Whatever your financial goals are, I specialize in helping to formulate a clear path from A to B, making those goals reality.
Prior to working in financial services, I held jobs in agriculture, landscaping, and construction, all while going to college and taking certification exams. I’ve found myself to be a perpetual student; almost always taking a course or preparing for an upcoming exam. I remain active in my church community and (predictably) enjoy golfing in my free time.
Qualifications:
- BBA in Finance from Grand Valley State University
- SIE - Securities Industry Essentials Exam
- Series 7TO - General Securities Representative Examination
- Series 66 – Uniform Combined State Law Examination
- Michigan Life Producer Examination
Here are some pieces of advice and sentiments I’ve stumbled across on my journey to Centennial, and my corresponding thoughts/reflections:
- “Brett, you need to love Mondays, or you need to make some changes.”
- I do love Mondays, and this is how I know I’m right where I should be; at a company that exists to help others accomplish their life goals and dreams.
- “Right now is a temporary moment with permanent results and consequences.”
- First, this describes investing perfectly. What you do now determines your results down the line. Secondly, this thought serves as a guide for every interaction we have and relationship we build; how we treat someone today will be reflected in their perception of us tomorrow.
- “In all those days that came and went, little did I know that that was life.”
- Everyone has different “money goals”, such as buying a dream home, retiring with dignity, and leaving a legacy. A question we often overlook is this: “How is my money making my life better?". My job is to act as a guide, ensuring that you enjoy not only your financial destination, but also the journey to it. Because your journey to your money goals; that’s your life.
