Jim Klunder was born and raised in Grand Rapids, where he has enjoyed many years of friendships and business relationships. He began managing money professionally in 1991. Jim joined with Centennial Securities in 1996, and he is currently an owner. He manages a broad client base, ranging from business owners, business retirement plans, IRAs, Roth IRAs, and Education accounts.
Jim graduated high school from Grand Rapids Christian, and he continued his education with a business administration degree from Hope College.
He and his wife, Lisa, currently reside in Grandville and have three children. He serves the financial needs of his clients from the Jenison location, and he is a Senior Vice President and Investment Advisor.
Jim’s hobbies include golf, fishing, coaching, and of course, spending time with his family.
Jim’s practice is focused on developing investment programs for individuals and businesses. It is his focus to help them achieve their financial goal, and as an Advisor, he can handle almost all types of investments. Depending on a person’s individual situation, Jim provides advice on investment avenues such as IRAs, Roth IRAs, Education IRAs, 529 Plans, 401(k)s, and many other types of accounts.
His investment philosophy corresponds with his excitement as a Financial Advisor. Jim’s number 1 focus is helping investors achieve their financial goals. He is a bit old-fashioned, in that he likes to meet face-to-face with his clients and identify their short- and long-term objectives, including risk tolerance. He then develops an investment program using investment vehicles appropriate for everyone involved.
Jim places special emphasis on educating his clients. He wants to make sure they are comfortable with the strategies presented. His main goal is to have every investor know what they own and why they own it!
