“I focus on using the most effective and efficient methods to assist clients with achieving their financial goals.”
In the financial industry since 1989, Mark Whitman brings a wealth of experience to his role with Centennial Securities Company. A former hospital corpsman in the United States Navy, he went on to serve as a registered representative with Prudential Bache, a marketing rep with ICMA Retirement Corporation, a Vice President with State Street/CitiStreet, a marketing manager with MERS of Michigan and a financial advisor with UBS prior to joining Centennial in 2009.
After graduating from East Grand Rapids High School (1973), Mark went on to earn his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Management degrees from Aquinas College and he also attended Detroit College of Law.
Mark finds distinction in his ability to customize client strategies to reflect their own desires without using any “one size fits all” investment product or plan. However, he also believes in applying the same principles of asset allocation and diversification to individual portfolios that he learned in the institutional arena. He uses every tool at his disposal depending on which works best for the individual client.
Outside of Centennial, Mark enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, golf and watching the Detroit Tigers win championships. A single dad, Mark’s college-age daughter is the most important person in his life.
“There are few careers which so immediately and substantially affect someone’s current and future well-being. It is very challenging and rewarding.”
